About eRaksha

The goal of eRaksha competition is to enable young people across age groups to become responsible digital citizens, following the required safety norms and procedures.
The Competition provides an opportunity to share the immersive experience and ideas of youth in cyber security with the nation to understand and imbibe cyber security, threats, challenges, and safeguards while designing their original submissions.
It also gives them opportunities to enhance their knowledge and skills, collaborate and network with domain experts and learn by solving complex challenges during the Cyber Camps organised by CyberPeace and NCERT.

Journey of eRaksha

Since
2019

The inaugural edition of eRaksha was launched by CyberPeace in collaboration with NCERT and UNESCO to promote online safety and digital responsibility among students and educators. It encouraged creative submissions on cyber hygiene, digital ethics, and safe internet behaviour. The firstedition saw national level participation and set the foundation for 
future expansions of the initiative.

2020

2021

The 2021 CyberPeace in collaboration with NCERT edition was launched with the theme My Idea of a Safe and Peaceful Cyber Space, highlighting digital citizenship and cyber wellness during thepandemic. Supported by MeitY, NCPCR and NCRB, the competition invited entries across posters, videos, essays, blogs, and software tools. This year strengthened eRaksha’s position as a governmentsupported national platform for promoting secure and ethical digital engagement.

2022

In 2022, eRaksha continued its mission of nurturing responsible digital citizens with expanded participation from schools, colleges, teachers, and parentsacrossregions. Creative and technicalsubmissions focused on cyber threats, digital rights, ethical behaviour, and safe technology use. Theedition emphasised awareness building through workshops and broad outreach initiatives.

2023

This edition aligned with national education priorities and focused on safe digital learning environments. Participants explored themes of cyber security, ethical online behaviour, and digital empowerment through immersive and hands on creative formats. Winning entries were showcased on national platforms, further strengthening the visibility and impact of eRaksha.
